Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. In fact, healthy skepticism is completely normal—and I encourage it. Hypnosis is not something that is done to you; it is a collaborative process. As the saying goes, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. I guide you through the experience, but you remain aware, in control, and free to accept or reject any suggestion at any time.
Anyone can experience hypnosis if they are willing and open to participating in the process. You don't have to "believe" in hypnosis for it to work, but a willingness to engage and follow the process is important.
It's also very common to feel nervous or skeptical before your first session. Most clients do. Once they experience hypnosis for themselves, they often find it feels much more natural than they expected—similar to becoming deeply absorbed in a book, movie, or daydream.
If you are taking medications that affect mood, focus, or relaxation, please let me know before your session. Certain medications may influence how easily you relax or enter a hypnotic state, and this information helps me tailor the experience to best support you.

No. Getting stuck in hypnosis is a common myth.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and relaxation, and it is impossible to become permanently stuck in that state. Throughout the session, you remain aware, in control, and able to respond to your environment.
Hypnosis is a collaborative process. While I guide and support you through the experience, you always retain the ability to accept or reject suggestions, communicate if needed, and return to full alertness whenever you choose.
Most people find hypnosis to be a comfortable and enjoyable experience, often describing it as similar to becoming deeply absorbed in a book, movie, meditation, or daydream.
My role is to create a safe, supportive environment and guide you through the process so you can relax, explore, and create positive change with confidence.

A hypnosis session is an opportunity to quiet the conscious mind and access the deeper levels of awareness where beliefs, patterns, habits, and emotional responses are stored. In this relaxed and focused state, you can explore the subconscious influences that may be shaping your thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and experiences.
Many of the habits, emotional reactions, and subconscious patterns that shape our lives are formed early on and continue operating beneath our conscious awareness. During hypnosis, we can gently uncover these patterns, bringing awareness to what may no longer be serving you and creating space for a positive shifts toward the life you want to experience.
Unresolved experiences and emotions can often leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or limited in some area of life. Hypnosis provides a safe and supportive environment to explore these deeper layers, release outdated beliefs, and reconnect with your inner knowing.
As the mind relaxes, the nervous system has an opportunity to shift into a more balanced state, allowing for greater clarity, insight, and self-awareness. Many clients leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
Every session is unique and tailored to your individual needs. Whether your goal is healing, personal growth, greater confidence, emotional freedom, or simply feeling more connected to yourself, hypnosis provides a safe and supportive space for personal breakthroughs and meaningful change.
At its core, hypnosis is a form of holistic self-care—an invitation to turn inward, reconnect with who you truly are, and create lasting change from the inside out. By transforming the patterns that no longer serve you, you create space for greater freedom, confidence, well-being, and alignment in your life.

The answer depends on your goals and the issue you would like to address. Some clients experience significant shifts after a single session, while others benefit from multiple sessions to create deeper, lasting change.
Hypnosis is a powerful tool, but it is not a magic wand. Meaningful transformation happens when you combine the insights and changes from hypnosis with a genuine commitment to growth and positive action in your daily life. The more engaged you are in the process, the more impactful and lasting the results can be.
Every person is unique, which is why I tailor each session to your individual needs and goals. Together, we will determine the approach that best supports the changes you want to create.
Please note that hypnosis and hypnotherapy are complementary wellness practices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions and require only a little preparation beforehand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
For the best experience, I recommend joining from a computer rather than a phone or tablet. Your camera should be positioned so I can comfortably see your upper body and torso throughout the session.
A wired headset with a clear microphone is strongly recommended. Headsets with an adjustable microphone that sits near your mouth typically provide the most reliable sound quality. Wired headphones are preferred, as Bluetooth devices can lose connection or run out of battery during a session.
Before your appointment, please test your equipment to ensure your camera, microphone, internet connection, and audio are all working properly.
To create a comfortable and uninterrupted experience, please have:
A quiet, private space where you will not be disturbed
A stable, high-speed internet connection
Soft, comfortable lighting
A comfortable chair, recliner, or place to lie down
A box of tissues nearby
Phones silenced and notifications turned off
Pets and other potential distractions cared for in another room if possible
Creating a calm, comfortable environment allows you to relax fully and get the most out of your session.
